
Queen Elizabeth National Park
Queen Elizabeth National Park is located in western Uganda, stretching between Lake Edward and Lake George, at the foothills of the magnificent Rwenzori Mountains, often referred to as the Mountains of the Moon. It is one of Uganda’s most popular and scenic national parks, renowned for its breathtaking landscapes, rich biodiversity, and exceptional wildlife experiences.
The park covers approximately 1,978 square kilometers and features a remarkable variety of ecosystems, including open savannah plains, wetlands, crater lakes, forests, and river channels. This diversity supports a wide range of wildlife species and makes the park one of the most biologically diverse protected areas in Africa.
